Hammock Dreams

By Anita 41 Comments

I am dreaming of hammock weather, cool breezes, and the sound of rustling leaves.
When we cleaned out the brush under our cedar tree, Mr. CH had left this sad little leaning tree.  He was headed out to finish it off, when I yelled, “Stop! I think we could use that for a hammock.”
And so voila.  It turned out to be the perfect spot for our hammock. It is too hot to be out there now, but in a few weeks, Lord willing, it will be just the right temperature.

I brought out several pillows to be sure I had enough.

Yes, my bluebells were still blooming then.  To see my bluebell fields, click here.

The blanket is in case we get chilled. See, I am thinking ahead.

I also brought along a few books and my lemonade.

Come on Fall weather!!!

I could dream in that hammock all day (if it were about 20 degrees cooler)! It’s a beautiful setting with your quilts and flowers!

I hope you will join my first Potpourri Friday party next week!

I’m jealous! Some family friends used to have a hammock when we were all kids. I have fond memories of swinging in their hammock and/or us kids getting wound up in it or thrown out of it. Since then, I’ve always wanted a hammock, but have never had a good spot for one. Maybe someday.

With such a cozy, relaxing spot, no wonder you are ready for fall!

You’ve created a setting that whispers ‘come, spend some of you time here’….

    Beautiful!

And is there anything quite as magical as a hammock tied to trees? I don’t think any other setting has the exact same feeling ~ floating and swaying as tho you are a tree-leaf yourself!
