More updates to the girls room coming, but here is where we are.
I started with this chest in the room.
I changed out the chest to the Frenchy one, you can see the post here FRENCHY CHEST.
The old mirror did not go with the new chest so I moved it to another room.
Well my daughter missed having a mirror in here, so I decided to find a new one. I get that for a teenager, a mirror is very important.
I found this charming mirror that is attached to the wall, but looks like it is hanging from the hook.
The lovely towel on the chest was provided by Turkish T.
The mirror is really cute in person.
She said the mirror was a bit smallish, but oh well, it’s a mirror. The lamp came from my room. I actually have lamps here now that came from another room. I’m not sure I remember where they all came from.
Not only do I play musical chairs with actual chairs, but I do it all the time with lamps. I think almost every lamp I own has been moved to a new location this year. That’s a great way to get a new look without spending money by the way. We sometimes get stuck in our way of thinking and sometimes miss a great idea. By moving things around, you won’t get bored with your rooms so easily, and sometimes you realize how much better things looked rearranged. I think I know where everything should go, but am surprised all of the time, when I experiment, and then think, what took me so long to move item A to place D.
I just love moving things around.

Anita,
Charming mirror!!!
I love that it appears to be hanging from a hook!
Many years ago, as “Mr. Ed” & I replaced the entire “Dream Home”
carpeting. . .we moved all of our furniture to the garage.
I had long tables set up with all my decor accessories.
While the installers were busy with the carpeting process,
I was busy re~arranging the accessories. I mixed and blended
until I had a completely “new” look within each room in our home!
Needless to say, an Open House was the order of the day
once the carpet was finished and each room refreshed!!!
When “Mr. Ed” states, “I have to put in a new cable connector?”
I just smile and reply, “Yes, dear. . .but the TV won’t stay in that position for long!”
I so~o~o understand this post!!!
Fondly,
Pat

I love how you find new homes for the pretty things you already have: it really makes all thing new again! I will say, though, I agree with your daughter- the mirror is small for that space. And it’s her room. Trust me, as the mother of grown & gone children, you’ll be missing her input sooner than later! That said, beautiful room!

What a sweet mirror.
But I giggled at the musical chairs…I the very same.. mirrors, chairs, tables. Have to keep things fresh!

Where did the other chest go? It is very cool. I could “store” it in the Maine house if need be!

Hi Anita
This is the biggest part I miss with living now in a smaller French cottage, it’s the ability to be able to move more things around when the mood strikes. In my case of creating a new look it’s out with the old and a new piece moves in to fit in its place.
Yet you my girl have inspired me to take a long look at some chest of drawers and see about a big switch. In fact in the past few weeks I have been wanting to find a new old chest French in style for my daughters room and then move the existing chest into the middle bedroom that tends to get a lot of the moved in and out pieces 🙂
You always inspire the best Anita, as for the hanging mirror it’s a wonderful look adding interest to the wall over the French chest.
Beautiful,
Xx
