Paint-Palooza

By Anita 29 Comments

Well I have painted several things recently with homemade chalky paint, click here for the homemade chalky paint recipe.  Rather than do a separate post for each item, I thought I would group several things together.  So here they are in no particular order.

The tool box on my little French cupboard (from Peggy!)  To see the post on the book bundles, click here.

(BTW, painting this room is on my list. I’m so over this yellow wall color. This color was in my breakfast room and kitchen and I just painted over it.  To be honest, I never liked this color… don’t ask!!)

The basket I used for our wildflower party (from my closet.) Click here to see this post.

A little stool in our bedroom.  To see the post on my new bed, click here.

And a frame for a little painting (inherited)

I’ve got to try your homemade chalk paint because it looks so great on all these things. You have such a comfortable, easy style and the paint really makes a difference.

When I finally get around to a chalk paint project, this is the recipe I’m going to use. I have more paints mixed that I don’t like and I’d hate to buy the real thing only to find I don’t like the color. Great before and afters!

I’ve inherited the same color living room walls AND my walls were that color in our previous home. I’m way overdue for a change!

With the old paint showing through, each piece has some special character. Your shots were so well arranged and each worth pausing to consider.

You’ve certainly been busy, and they are all transformed beautifully. It is quite impressive the difference paint can make, it turns something quite ordinary into something very special.

    Anita,
By painting each item shown here, you’ve added personality! I adore the little stool in the bedroom! “Mr. Ed” makes some similar ‘tool boxes’ here on the Prairie…just hadn’t thought of painting any of them! Have a great weekend!
