My French Study – Part I

By Anita 33 Comments

So this is where I blog now.
Come on in.

My favorite thing to do in here is blog (or course) and meet with clients.  The French leather chairs are for my guests. This Farmhouse French styled room was created with several elements.

My favorite thing about the room are the doors.  My builder, Ridgewater Homes did an AWESOME job with these, don’t you think?  The doors are antique doors hung like barn doors.
When I found them, they looked like this.  To read more about the doors, click here.

Then the painter started working on them and found a green layer of paint on one door, but not the other.  So, they kept going.

There’s more so come back next time and I’ll show you the rest of the room.

Beautiful! I especially am taken with the rug. Love it. The barn doors are great plus they don’t take up as much space as a traditional door. I am enjoying your home tour, Anita!!!

I love the 2 smaller doors on the barn track. Can you tell me what the builder used at the bottom of the doors as a door guide? Lovely room!

Oh my, I love those doors Anita! They have such vintage charm. I have barn type doors in my craft room and I love them. Although, they are not vintage. Yours are absolutely fabulous! Love this space.

Love the barn doors. Saw something similar in a loft condo and wished I could do the same at my house.

You’ve created a very beautiful space. I bet you enjoying working there every day.
