Gorgeous White and Gray Kitchen Tour

By Anita 13 Comments

In my life away from the blog, I get to photograph some amazing homes for some amazing builders.

Let’s get started on our tour and then I’ll reveal the builder.

I love the openness of this gray and white kitchen and all of the wonderful details.

The marble backsplash adds drama to the room.  I’m not brave enough to have marble in my kitchen, but I love the look.

Over the island is a fun basket pendant light.

And who doesn’t love a pot filler!!

The window above the sink has this lovely stained glass art in front of the actual window.

Here’s a view from further back. Did you notice the detail on the island?

The feet on the cabinetry is so charming.  This is a opportunity to add some detail for not a lot of extra money. This carpenter hit the nail on the head, so to speak. And imagine a WOLF range, wow!!

I think I could get comfortable in a kitchen like this.

The wood floors were just as beautiful as the rest of the house.

This is not a sponsored post. I just know ya’ll love these new home tours, so I thought I would share this kitchen with you.  This home was built by Southland Homes.  You can see more of their beautiful work, by checking out their website.

Thanks for the beautiful kitchen tour! I spent years (about 18) going over designs before I actually had my kitchen remodeled in 2010, but I still can’t stop looking at other designs to make sure I made the correct choices. I like the pop of red in the stained glass over the sink and the red knobs on the Wolf. I, also, went with the Wolf only because of the red knobs, but I hardly use it for cooking ;instead, I use it as an opportunity to put other accents of red in my kitchen/living room (I thought I deserved it after 18 years of living with a 24 inch oven with no door, peeling laminate counters, and the orange Flintstones vinyl damaged flooring). Heading over to the builder’s site to get some ideas for converting a powder room/bedroom into a big bathroom–thanks for the contact and tour! Happy Friday!

Very pretty kitchen. Just add a beautiful chandelier and it would be perfect. Not a fan of the hanging basket!

Wow…what a gorgeous kitchen and so much attention to detail…love the calm, soothing colors…I can just imagine it with some pops of color…and I too love that range…my neighbor has that same range and I lust after it every time I am over there! Fabulous builder!

Loved how clean looking it was and the cabinetry with the feet, very cute and makes it little more personal. Found it kinda cold looking but love love that light fixture over the island. Not an expected element, makes it look more friendly. So much room, wow, I’d love that but would probably end up doing some of my craft projects on the island like I do now on our portable island in our small kitchen. I just wouldn’t be crazy about having to clean it all. Think I’ll head over to builders site also, see if I can find something to spruce up our kitchen.

Working with builders is always fun, and obviously this one isn’t basic! The devil’s in the details and I love the details here; the very unique treatment on the island; the pot filler and the glass piece in the window. And you’re so right, the feet on the cabinets are a great little feature. And sorry, Peggy and Barbara, but I like the basket light. It’s a kitchen, not a formal dining room, and the natural wood helps pull in the wood floors, and the more casual subway tile backsplash.

Thank you for the tour-it gave me some great inspiration for my own kitchen which is very similiar to the one in the photos-my island is currently turquiose, now I am leaning towards grey! I went with the Thermadore gas 6 burner range purley for the crazy blue knobs ! :))

I’m wondering why I couldn’t paint my knobs on my stove red. The oven dial is the only one with numbers on it and I bet I could add them afterward. Going to go find my red paint, thanks.

OMG!!! I LOVE this kitchen!!! Just would add my own little lime green/pink colors for spark!! But WOW is right!!!! I love the marble behind the stove and WOW….a Wolfe stove would be ‘da bomb’ !!!!!!! they are gorgeous!!!! I love the floor and love everything…for me…the ONLY thing would be a bigger island!!! Yes, bigger!!! At least 6+ floor slats over with a grill and another sink in it and then able to sit around it to eat….but ..this is crazy gorgeous!!!!!!

What stain is the floor, please? I would also want to know if the island is trendy in gray?
    Thank you

Ellen, contact Southland Homes of Houston for any questions you have about this house. I don’t have any of that information. As for the island color being trendy. I think the island color being different from the other cabinets will go in and out of favor. But it is just paint and easily changed, unlike your tile and counter top selections. I don’t know how long it will be in style, which is why it is so important to not follow trends, but your heart, so you will love it, even when it isn’t the latest thing any more.
