These brownies were voted the number one favorite dessert.
Well, it was just my family voting, but these brownies were voted number one. The recipe is basically Ruth Reichl’s Artpark Brownies with a few minor changes. And in case you don’t know who Ruth Reichl is, she was the editor in chief for Gourmet magazine until it ended publication in 2009.
Here is my version of these delicious brownies.
And if you haven’t gotten yours already, it may be too late. I hear a lot of Target stores are already out.
Those brownies look so yummy…I make mine from scratch using Ghirardelli cocoa powered. Your table setting is beautiful as well!
Oh, my you had me at Godiva Chocolate Creme Liqueur.

Brownies are the one thing I can cook and can’t seem to stop munching on. I’m scared to even enter Target after seeing these pretties everywhere. Don’t need to spend money now and it would be one more thing to pack!

Save me a brownie – they look yummy! Love the little plates. I do know how much your MIL loved linen napkins.
Wow, those look yummy and no wonder with that secret ingredient. I love that stuff, just finished off a bottle a while back and need to get more. It’s great just trickled over vanilla ice cream.

I’ve been known to throw some coffee into my brownie mix, but I think you are on to something magical with the Godiva Chocolate Creme Liquor…it sounds devilishly good! Thanks for note about the towels at Target..I would never have thought to look for them there!
Delicious!! How these are making my mouth water at 6;45am!! Would love to have one with my coffee right now! Thanks for sharing such a delicious, rich dessert.. oh, and I love the table setting as well, beautiful!!
I am drooling all over my key board. What a great idea to add the godiva liqueur. Where do you get it? It is something I have not seen in any store here in Utah.
I got it at the liquor store. So I don’t know how it works in Utah, do they even sell alcohol there, ha ha??
You had me at brownies! I got the tea towel from Target too – posted about them recently. I’m using two back-to-back for a table runner!
If I had a gold ribbon I’d give you that too. Yum Hugs and sincere wishes for a weekend filled with joy, Katherine
What I wouldn’t give for one of those brownies right now! Such a pretty table too. Thanks for your nice comment on my camera decision. I did get one…a Canon Rebel. I haven’t used it yet but hope to this weekend. Have a good one!
Yummy! This is a lovely post! Your pictures are beautiful. I saw the Target items, but didn’t buy them and they have never been in stock again! Your brownies sound fabulous!
Hey, Anita! I recognized the Blue Ridge plates immediately. My Mom, my sister and I all have quite a collection of various pieces. My Mom’s collection is HUGE!!! But they are such great pieces. Microwave and Dishwasher safe, too, way before either one was common. And they’re beautiful!
And those brownies look amazing. YUM! YUM! YUM!
Brownies are a regular feature around HFTS. Yours look delicious. I’ll have to try this.
Happy Sunday ~ Sarah
