No snow? No problem. We’ll be on the back porch enjoying the sunshine and a hearty meal this Christmas.
There’s no need to buy greenery when you’re at Cedar Hill. I just grab some clippers and head to the nearest cedar tree. The red berries are also plentiful here.
The chandy is from Decor Steals. The red and white napkins are kitchen towels from Ikea.
I’m using my Cedar Hill silverware with the C and H.
I used red burlap ribbon from Pick Your Plum for my chandy, and added some sprigs of red berries.
I love sitting around this antique table.
I wonder about those that sat around it years ago. Did they enjoy their Christmas meal here, or did they use a fancier table to celebrate this special day?
I had so much fun filling my antique pine dough bowl (really more of a box) with all kinds of goodies –
cedar boughs, burlap ribbon, deer antlers found on the ranch, more red berries, silver ornaments and battery-operated string lights.
I love the way the light glints off the silver ornaments as the sun sinks across the western sky.
Old wine bottles hold more evergreens and berries.
As the sun sets the lights begin to sparkle.

All so pretty, can you believe the warm temps we are still experiencing. Hardly feels like Christmas. Will add your new address to my reader.

Anita,
I just tried adding your new address and it says its not valid. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Anita @ Cedar Hill Ranch says
Thanks Dawn, the blog was a little wonky yesterday, so hopefully it will work in a few days. It’s still on blogger so things should smooth out. I’ll be checking to see if I need to do anything more, but I am guessing, it’s just them.

It is all so beautiful Anita! I would love to hang out there! I didn’t know that cedar trees got red berries. So perfect for Christmas time! We have a bunch of holly trees full of red berries in our neighborhood. I need to find some places to tuck in a few sprigs.
