Adding a touch of luxury to our Bath

By Anita 14 Comments

robes

If there is a way to make your home feel like an expensive spa or bed and breakfast, I am so all over it!  I decided we needed fancy robes, Mr. CH and I.  My robe was one that I have had for years and years, and I wanted to feel like I was at a 4 star hotel when I got up each morning. So my big gift to both of us this Christmas was monogrammed robes from Restoration Hardware. (Not a sponsored post, I just really like them.)

They are so thick and soft, I love mine. So after I got them, I realized that I couldn’t put our luxurious robes on some hum drum robe hook. I set out to find a super cute one, so I found these at Anthropologie.  (Again not a sponsored post, I just like them.)

Is it just me, or are these hooks the cutest?

That reminds me, I haven’t had a long soak in the tub for awhile. It’s calling to me.

I have been wanting to get some luxurious bath robes…they look wonderful hanging on those cute, cute hooks…yes, I think luxurious robes hanging make a bath look so very spa like…I try to always have fresh flowers, a dish of chocolates and when I have time, a welcome basket, especially for those who are visiting for the first time…Have a great weekend and hope you get that well deserved “soak”…

Love the hooks. Your bathroom is so serene, that makes for a nice soak. I just think I might be due a bath robe. Oh well, maybe not. The robes look thick and nice.

For a guest bathroom I like to give my guests a basket of goodies they wouldn’t bring themselves. A beautiful candle. I always know before hand what fragrance they like, and that they can take home. A pretty covered journal, a pretty pen so they can make notes of the things they did on their trip, I also add soaps, and misc. goodies. Always keep a new covered soap in the shower. And the best towels!!! (white)

Have you ever tried l’Occitane skin care products.. Shower gel, body cream…face creams!

    Anita,
A soak in your tub would be a “nightly” happening if it were here on the Prairie, dear friend!!!
    I adore your bathrobes!!!
    Pure indulgence!!!
    Fondly,
    Pat

I would love to know more about the beautiful piece of furniture (with mirror). It appears to be a perfect spot (and a very luxurious look) for your beautiful bath. Thank you for sharing.

It’s an antique French mirrored armoire. It’s now our linen closet.

    Hello Anita!
I am currently looking to gift a pair of monogrammed, luxurious bathrobes to my best friend and her future husband for their wedding shower. I am in a tizzy to find the best option, but have been overwhelmed in deciding between cotton or poly plush. I also stumbled upon RH for bathrobes but still cannot commit to either material. Can you please advise on why you picked the poly over cotton? I’ve heard that although softer, poly is not as absorbent as cotton.
    Please help!

    Hi Anita,

I am looking to get a bathrobe for my Husband and love the RH ones as well. I find the site a bit tough sizing wise however. My Husband is about 6′ and a fit build I was wondering if you could give some insight into the size you bought for your Husband and how it fits?
    Thanks,

    K.

He didn’t complain so it must fit fine. I got the large for him and he’s over 6 ft tall. I hope that helps.
