I admit it, I love pink, but with a husband weary of a house full of estrogen (We have 2 girls.) I do try to reign it in – MOST of the time. But today we’re getting ready for Valentine’s Day, so Mr. CH, today might be a good day for you to take off, you know, go hunting, or fishing or spitting, or whatever you male-people do to have fun.
I am on a quest for pink. I have some friends coming over for lunch, and I want them to feel special.
I also use these at Christmas-time on our Christmas tree, but they can also be used for Valentine’s Day. When creating Christmas decorations, I try to make things that could be used other times of the year. You can call it laziness or cheapness, but I call it SMART.
I was on the lookout for all things pink, but I liked the contrast with the green. Pink always look better with a little green.
Here’s a Christmas ornament I bought on clearance after Christmas.
It’s a little silver frame that can be filled with a photo and hung on a Christmas tree. I pulled out some toile paper and cut out the figure of a girl, then put that in the frame. I also changed out the forest green ribbon, for some soft pink ribbon.
I added as much pink sweets as I could find. Good and Plenty candy is so pink and they taste better than I remembered. I also found pink, white and red M and M’s. I put these candies in antique inherited lidded preserve jars. It’s awfully hard for me to resist grabbbing a few as I walk by during the day.
Coming up next – Valentine’s Day cookies.

Did you know that the scent of licorice is suppose to put women in the mood? Really I heard that 15 years ago. The talk show suggested putting bowls of Good and Plenty around! So if Mr. CH doesn’t want to go off spitting and shooting at least you’ll know why.

Hi Anita,
I do love pin and a touch of green too.
Yes, I am planning to do some VD creations, though I am not so good in it and living in Europe is not as much blings, like you have in the U.S. that I adore.
Hope to get some inspirations from your tables and i could modify it.
TY for sharing.
Greetings,
/CC girl
