You can really do anything with them. Here I’ve filled them with a few of my vintage seltzer bottles, some inherited movie reels, and blue Mason jars filled with vintage sewing notions. The other box holds linen fabric and an old coffee bean bag.
(I received product for the purposes of review.)
Another use would be to display dishes. I’m thinking they might work well to use during a luncheon when I am serving buffet style.
I even added some vintage dollies. I love the writing on these old German crates.
See the dish peeking through the crate? It’s one of my favorites. a Spode.
I’m thinking these crates would also work well to hold grain sacks, coffee bean bags, or fabric just waiting for the right project.
Or how about using them to hold bath towels?
And do you want to know the best part? You can snag one or more of these crates for yourself for a great price. Many of you ask me where I get things I show on my blog.

Great photos, Anita! I love how you used the crates with the dishes. I think that would be a great display for a buffet.

ha! I am just coming up from the cellar from taking down crates…we bought an old baking powder crate at an auction just this weekend. I mostly have wine crates (filled with corks) but also have a dynamite box and a few other interesting crates down there. I love your display!
