I know, I know, many of you don’t sew, but guess what? This table cover doesn’t require sewing. I think it looks as good as many table covers that are sewn.
I didn’t even iron the folded edges, although I would recommend that.
Remember the table I showed you in What the Table Knew? This is the same table. It’s inherited, and I wasn’t crazy about keeping it.
Now that it’s covered up, I’m happy and Mr. CH is happy (that it didn’t get tossed or painted). Another piece of furniture is saved. *sigh* I love a happy ending, don’t you?

You said the magic words… no sew 🙂 The little table that knew looks all dressed up and elegant now!! Glad you kept it. I k ow… sometimes inherited pieces just have a hard time ‘fitting’ in. I have a few of those.

I think that was a great solution, Anita! Love how you tucked this so that the corners look the way they do. Love your grain sack memo board, too!

I sew, a little, but I rather “no sew”…I can see a little stencil project on it next!

Are drop clothes not the greatest invention ever. They are so versatile. I love your no sew table cloth, it has a frenchy kind of feel.

If I can do it with out sewing, then it’s for me!

Yup, I’m in that no sew corner. Sometimes I even question my ability to carpet tape, glue and fabri-tack.

I am happy you didn’t paint that table too! All the folks who ran out and painted their good quality brass are sorry as it is making a big comeback!
Have a great weekend. We are getting a big blizzard here in NY. 🙁

Your no-sew table cover is great! I actually do sew and I also enjoy using drop cloths for sewing projects. Aren’t they great?!
Elizabeth (Blue Clear Sky) says
The tablecloth looks great, as does the vignette. Love love your new blog design too.

Oh my gosh. I have a table just like it that was my Grandmothers. It sits in the barn because those table feet are killers of people feet! The little metal covers have a mean bite! I love the dropcloth cover and may just bring Grandma’s table in now. Thanks for sharing. I’m a new follower here and at Hometalk, where I found you 🙂
Have a great week!
