I know, I know, many of you don’t sew, but guess what? This table cover doesn’t require sewing. I think it looks as good as many table covers that are sewn.
Come a little closer and I’ll let you in on another secret. Shhhh, it’s a drop cloth, or did you already guess?
You can easily find one big enough for this project for less than $20. I like to use the ones at Lowes, since some found at other stores are very gray.
Basically I folded the tablecloth at the edges, and tucked the excess fabric under the table. That was it. My friend Kathleen says that I make things sound so easy. There’s a reason for that. It IS easy. If you like difficult projects, this one isn’t for you.
I didn’t even iron the folded edges, although I would recommend that.
Remember the table I showed you in What the Table Knew? This is the same table. It’s inherited, and I wasn’t crazy about keeping it.
Now that it’s covered up, I’m happy and Mr. CH is happy (that it didn’t get tossed or painted). Another piece of furniture is saved. *sigh* I love a happy ending, don’t you?

Love the no sew table cover!!…I have done that with round tables, but never thought to do it with other shapes…a table cover right up my alley…no sew…It is beautiful….a great look and you “saved” the table!!

You said the magic words… no sew 🙂 The little table that knew looks all dressed up and elegant now!! Glad you kept it. I k ow… sometimes inherited pieces just have a hard time ‘fitting’ in. I have a few of those.

Are drop clothes not the greatest invention ever. They are so versatile. I love your no sew table cloth, it has a frenchy kind of feel.
If I can do it with out sewing, then it’s for me!

“Mr.Ed” and I used two of these for our Bits ‘n Pieces vendor booth this Autumn! I learned the fold from my Grandmother when she had her restaurant! Classy & elegant!!!

Oh my gosh. I have a table just like it that was my Grandmothers. It sits in the barn because those table feet are killers of people feet! The little metal covers have a mean bite!
