Winter Pillows
I hope you are well. I’ve been so sick the past few days. I don’t think I’ve been this sick in 15 years. I actually wrote this post before the holidays since I knew I would be working on my book this week. I have the final edits due in a few days. So the good news is that I didn’t have to skip a post today, but the bad news is that I still have to work on my book, since the there is a hard deadline next week. I’m doing the best I can.
We also pre-recorded our podcast episode before Christmas so thankfully that was also done ahead of time. I definitely better today, but still not over it.
During the winter months I like to make sure I have super cozy pillows in my house. This is the time of year I pull out all of my fur and velvet pillows and any other pillows that can pull off a ‘winter pillow’ look.
Some wintery pillows don’t have to be velvet or furry. They can be embroidery like the one below. I think they need to look warm.
Wool pillows like my pillows in the closet are perfect for winter. They have loads of texture and warmth. Wool can be stratchy, but I don’t plan to use the pillows with a bare back.
Velvet is perfect for winter! I love velvet and plan to add several more velvet things to our home.
Check out the list below of my favorite winter pillows. This list contains affiliate links.

So sorry you’re feeling bad. I had this same thing right after Thanksgiving, saw the doctor for possible pneumonia (negative) and didn’t feel “right” for 3 weeks afterwards. Got behind on my Christmas shopping, cookie baking and all things holiday. And now, here in Indiana, we have sub-zero temps and wind chills to -20. So far, winter has been a huge disappointment!! Hope you’re feeling better soon.

Pat, I’m so sorry to hear that. I feel pretty good now, just have a few lingering symptoms, but it seems it takes an extra few days to get past the last symptoms.

Love the fur pillow. I have two kids and three dogs so I try to avoid white pillows but they sure do look beautiful.

Hope you feel better soon. There is a terrible flu going around and it is bad! If you are not well soon, please go to the dr.
That said I must tell you how much I enjoyed this podcast! I listen on my way to work, and I laughed so hard! Nice to know I am still pretty much normal in finding myself surrounded by clutter, especially after the holidays!
And I LOVE pillows! They just make a home cozy.

Chris, I’m 90% past it. My body is in recovery mode. So happy you are enjoying the podcast!!

Sorry you’ve been so sick. It sounds like a bout of the flu I had last spring. Like you, I was sicker than I’d been in some years. It hit me like a ton of bricks and didn’t leave for weeks and weeks. I hope you are on the mend and feeling more and more well.
The pillows are all beautiful. I love the velvet ones especially. Velvet is one of my favorite fabrics. And the furry ones are fun, too.
Here we are beginning a new year again. Where did 2017 go? It was not an especially wonderful year for me so I don’t mind waving bye-bye. I am happy to be starting afresh and looking forward to the posts on all the cool blogs I read, yours included!
Best of luck with your book, Anita! Cant’ wait to see it! Happy New Year!

Ahhh Anita, I hope you feel better soon and get all that editing done in time. It’s awful when all the deadlines seem to happen at the same time and your feeling rotten too. Love the winter pillow ideas BTW, especially those fluffy, furry ones
