Welcome to Cedar Hill Farmhouse. This is part of the bHome open house. I’m so honored to be a part of bHome and delighted you have come for a visit.
I’ve taken all new photos for the tour today. Above is the dining room. I love all of the bottles and cloches in here and the blue rug.
Next is the butler’s pantry full of crystal and ready for a party. I love how the sun shines in through the window.
As you walk through the dining room and into the butler’s pantry, next is the kitchen. Here the cabinets also reflect the light streaming in through the windows. A vintage bottle holds cuttings from the yard.
The pediment above the range is one I painted recently. There are more vintage bottles in here, and a vintage silver tray above the range. I opted to go with plain tiles above the range because I like the clean look. You can see the butler’s pantry in the distance.
The breakfast room is right next to the kitchen. Here an armoire converted into a china cabinet stores vintage family china.
Below is a grainsack pillow and linen slipcovers on a French settee. The iron stair railing gives the room a European feel. A large gathering basket holds wheat.
You can see the built in cabinets that I antiqued. You can find the technique HERE.
I slipcovered the settees, and you can find some of my slipcovering tips HERE.
The newel post is made from an antique garden post. Details can be found HERE.
Thank you for the beautiful tour Anita….I gain so much inspiration from your home and your great tips and projects. I so love how you incorporated many antique details during the building process of your home. The antique garden post has to be one of my favorites.

Hi Anita
Your home is lovely and showcases the things you love. I was wondering about the built ins on your Breakfast Room wall that hold your plates and platters. Were they a purchase that you had installed, or were they custom made for your home? I too have many plates and platters and these wall mounted display shelves would be perfect for my home as well. Any info would be much appreciated.
Regards, Carole
Carole, they were all custom made on site by my carpenter.
Hi Anita. I am in awe. Love everything. Question: where did you find the gorgeous bar stools? Wood work linen backs?

They are from Restoration Hardware Meaghan.
can you please share the style of fabric , color and wood finish on the stools? thanks!
Stacie, I don’t remember. If you look at the site, you might be able to see which ones I bought. Or send the photo to the store. They should be able to figure it out.
What type of granite is the countertop in kitchen, please?
White river Kendra.
Hi there! I love your home! Our tastes are very similar. I am curious if you could please share some details about the backsplash, dimensions, material, source? I would really appreciate it
Thanks for sharing!
Hi Christine, I think that information is here. https://cedarhillfarmhouse.com/2015/07/what-color-is-that-wall-and-more-questions-answered.html
The design is flawless, which is to be expected, but what I love the most is the color pattern. It is just brilliant. You can just leave it so clean and airy, but a bucket of flowers will color it all in anyway you like.
