I prefer the white lamps to these here. Sometimes a contrast works best, and sometimes continuity works best. In this case I prefer the consistency of the white, maybe because I already have so much going on with the design on the chest. The best part is that I didn’t buy anything new to achieve my new look, I simply moved things around, and added a little bit of paint.
You do that too? I knew it!
Very nice! I also like the continuity of the white that you’ve done. It gives a whole new look to the red chest, more playful, less formal.
I especially like the stepladder hung over the chairs!
I love doing this kind of thing! My mind is racing right now, ready to redo my sunroom, just in time for lazy afternoons!
Have a great weekend!

Yes! I do it constantly! I can’t resist buying things that go great in my house and so I have a lot of different things to use in the same rooms. I change them out seasonally and in between just to use all the stuff! Love your end result!
Hi Anita, I love the red chest. Everything looks fresh not easy to do. Can you post your homemade chalk paint receipe?
Love the red chest, and the whole room. You got it all right this time!
You are not alone for sure, but sometimes I think I’m the only one who rarely moves things around!
Bliss
No, you are not alone, Anita! : ) Moving things around is a great way to shop the house and I always try to do that before I go out and buy something new.
Totally not alone in this, I think it makes things new and fresh. I love that red chest!
Cynthia
Looks great! I love the white and black lamps on the red chest of drawer! So pretty!

Yeah, yeah, yeah…you got me! I’m a “tweaker”, too! Tweaking is what makes the world go round! It shows that we’re really paying attention, I think. I do that with my tablescapes, my home decor, and my personal clothing. Some would call it OCD, but I call it DIT (Doin’ It Right!)
Have a great weekend!
Anita, I love the black with the white and the red of the chest! Very very pretty! If I’m not mistaken, at one time you wanted to paint that gorgeous chest! So glad that you didn’t!
You have such a signature style, my dear!!! LOVE IT!
I am constantly moving things around. It seems I never sit down. Love your blog. Truly inspiring.
Oh no I am always moving things around. And once you do one thing you know it just leads to something else and so on and so on lol!
xx

Anita- You are NOT alone- I am constantly tweaking and changing things. I love a “new look” with old things- xo Diana
I think it’s safe to say you are NOT the only one who does this! I change things out for the seasons and it’s always fun to pull out things from season to season that you have forgotten you had!
I like it better too! And you’re not the only one!
Anita, what a beautiful, red chest! I love the addition of the white lamps, so much better. Red, white and black is a favorite of mine incase you hadn’t noticed!
Thanks for sharing….gonna go pin it to my red board!

You know I am the queen of change. Love the look of the lamp change.
I get in my tweaking moods and do the very same thing…I suspect all of us bloggers are of the same obsessed ilk:) LOL….Enjoy your Sunday!
Anita,
WoW!!!
What a simplistic, yet splendid change!!! Love the chest and the switch of lighting is very complimentary!!! Great job, dear friend!!!
I continually move things around (“Mr. Ed” states everytime I dust…which is often!), but some areas more than others!!!
Found that now I’m ‘out~in~the~garden’ more often, I do the same thing there, as well.
Change is constant!!!
Fondly,
Pat
Anita, I like the change. I’m about to move things about here this morning. Always tweaking.
I like the white lamps, too!
Hi! Nice tour:)). And YES!! OCD!! I am constantly tweaking and changing something.. To the point my husband is ready to get me! lol Keeps us in our toes and always learning and experiencing:))
