New Craftsman Home Photo Shoot

By Anita 85 Comments

Have I mentioned lately how much I love what I do?

Well I do!!  As you may know I work as a designer for Ridgewater Homes, but I’m also now doing their photography.  I just did my first photo shoot for them, and it was a blast. Come on and I’ll show you around.  This home is in the Houston Heights.

The kitchen is scrumptious with this huge island and dreamy 48 professional Thermador gas stove.

I love these pendant lights over the island.

The living room is open to the kitchen.

Isn’t this a nice spot to read a book?  I love all of the trim work here.

And what an adorable little girl’s room!!

The master has this wonderful paneled wall behind the bed and lots of light coming in through the windows. Don’t you love those floors?

These double doors open up to a breath-taking bathroom.

This room is big enough for dancing, welll I mean, if you wanted to…

Did you notice the chandy?

And what about that tub?

What’s better than a gorgeous chandy in the dining room? Can you say “TWO”?

This was a lot of fun, and the good news is there’s another photo shoot next week!

I’ll share those photos too!!

My two younger sisters and I spent 13 years in a Children’s Home and our dormitory room had 24 beds in it, 12 to a side. They were white iron with the crispest linen sheets and pillowcases which always had a clean light lavender scent and a white cotton cover. Small white two drawer night stand to be shared and other than one doll or teddy on each bed, sparse but lovely. Huge bright windows and on the Home was on the top of the hill so when staff were not around, many a young girl, especially me, could be found sitting in the window well, watching the lights coming on in the city below. Thanks for the memory, it is a great one.
