So you can imagine the excitement when I found out we were getting new neighbors on our private road. There are just three properties here, so this is a BIG deal.
And guess what? My new neighbor loves to decorate!! She loves antiques and funky things. And she didn’t even flinch when I brought my camera with me when I came to visit.

Make sure to visit her often, she might just have some decorating inspiration tucked in a corner for you.

Yes more more more please.
How neat to have such a fun neighbor-she does realize you’ll ALWAYS have your camera at visits right? You could blame your blogger friends for being too greedy and wanting more. 😉

A neighbor who loves to decorate would be lovely. In fact a local friend who loves to decorate would be lovely. I have great friends, but none are into decorating.
I like what you showed – leave ’em wanting more!

Let’s see more!

Boy do we know what you mean about country time and city time. In 1992 we moved from San Diego after living there for 21 years to 20 acres on Canyon Ferry Lake in MT. Talk about a culture shock.
But the worst was when we moved to rural KY in 1999 outside Bowling Green. I was a big oddity there having lived in San Diego and being taught about women’s rights, etc. Very different. It was worse than MT in that respect. Any couples we met in KY, the husband didn’t want me around his wife.
I was alone alot due to having an over the road trucker husband so had to be extremely independent. Our son’s wife didn’t know what to think about me. She was a born/bred KY girl.
I’m still getting used to the distressed look, people where we live now aren’t into it much at all. We live in rural area of western CO west of Grand Junction, moved here in 2004. Sometimes I’m not too sure how I feel about it, depends on the piece I guess.
People where you live must love it as they buy your pieces. I noticed that also from many of the blogs I subscribe to. People out here like painted pieces but not distressed. To each his own huh? I like how you warned about doing a practice piece first, very good advice. Happy Spring days
