I have to admit I’m pretty excited to be able to talk to you today. I did a video, so you can see and hear me. I just wish I could see and hear you too. It’s my first one, and it’s far, far from perfect, but you have to start somewhere, right? And I’m starting where I am, since that’s a good place to start.
Note: I thought I had a post on how to bid on eBay, but I can’t find it, so I am going to assume that I just made that up in my mind. If you are uncomfortable bidding, Etsy would be a great alternative to buying on eBay.
I would love for you to ‘LIKE’ the video if you do indeed like it. And if you want to see more, please, please let me know. I really am a ‘behind the camera’ kinda person, so this isn’t what I signed up for when I became a blogger. But I know that people want to see video, so here I go!

Great video on vintage silver. I love the silver tea pots and pitchers myself since we have a flower farm, all flowers look great in them. Appreciate you taking the time to do the video and sharing your knowledge and experience. Paula-Windmill Farm

Anita, I’m going to Paris in the Fall. Can you recommend flea markets and good places to shop for French accessories(blus enamel pitchers, grain sacks, artwork, vintage silver etc)?

I would never have known this was your first video! Such a natural and friendly person… I felt like I was sitting there chatting with you. I volunteer at a thrift store and we often get silver pieces in that fly out the door. We have learned not to price them too cheaply now. All of our money goes to our local food bank.

Hi Anita,
I think it’s great that you just went ahead and did the video. I love it just the way it is. I’m so tired of all the slick, polished stuff out there. i really like something that is relaxed and comfy, and allows me to feel good about not being so slick and polished myself! I have a store that sells vintage, antique and collectible items, as well as local art and hand crafted items and I’ve been totally inspired to collect, paint and decorate old , myself, too. I love the old patina on the silver too (I have a gorgeous tarnished-beyond-repair pitcher that only time could render so charming) and I think that the old chippy paint finishes on furniture, and the look of newly distressed furniture is lovely. I always look forward to seeing your posts arrive in my inbox. And you can check out my store on Facebook. I’m a little slow on updating things because I’m doing it all myself and am super busy, but eventually I’ll find a moment to put some new photos up. I’m called “Homing Instinct Marketplace” and I’m in Perth, Ontario, Canada. Sort of north east of the east end of Lake Ontario. Keep up the wonderful inspiration! Thank you!
