Do you know what your style is?
I consider myself sophisticated traditional with a little fun thrown in.

Classically Vintage with a little Farmhouse thrown in!
Ann takes traditional elements but puts her own spin on them to give her home a warm farmhouse feel.
Well this is just a start, and we’re not done! I’m got lots more to show you. The thing I want you to notice is that everyone has a unique style. Everyone calls their style something different, and the looks are completely different, while in some ways you can see similarities.
In Part II, we’ll look at some more styles.
In Part III, we’ll finish the series.

Interesting post. So much has changed from former days. I would be interested in a list of style names.
Anita says
I think Bonnie, that the list is more diverse than it used to be.

Love your post looking forward to reading part 2. I also enjoyed your side note called on a personal note. I could not agree with you more about enjoying shopping a tree lined street and being outside, all the different shops. Wish I could find one close to me ,I live in North Fort Worth,TX.. But I also enjoyed reading how much fun and how special your time with your daughter was.. I am so praying my daughter moves back to TX so I can be with my grandbabies and her,so we have days like that also.
Have a great day!

Anita,
It isn’t e a s y to find one’s “true” style with all the amazing choices for today’s home decor!!!
While working in the retail market, I fell in love with many of the “new and trendy” accessories!!!
However, once I came back to my Traditional Roots, I could breathe a ^sigh^ of relief!!!
Finding my “true ” design style gave me the freedom to edit and keep only those
accessories and furnishings that “stir” my heart and soul!!! Now my home has a calmness about it!!!
Thank you for sharing these amazing bloggers style!!!
Fondly,
Pat

This is so inspiring. I like your pictures so much. Kitchen on the third picture is just what I like. And details on a blue wall.

Anita, this is a great tip to step out of the room, photograph it, then analyze and determine what is needed. Using the principles of design when analizing your room is a great reminder to get rooms that “feel” right. I pulled out some of my college design books and found it to be a good refresher. I love your blog! I always come away with some info. Thanks.
