Highlights of 2013

By Anita 14 Comments

Well, at this time of year I like to think over what were my favorite events and posts of the year.  The biggest event for me was moving into our brand new house.  This was a big undertaking for me, since we had been in our previous home for over 20 years.  I purged a ton of things from my home, and went in a more French direction.  It was a great exercise, and I think my furnishings benefited from the weeding out of things that no longer went with my look.  And I blessed some friends with my cast offs, so everyone was happy all around.

I have enjoyed sharing the process of building our home with you, and it was a big day when 4 days after moving in, I shared my kitchen with you

I also so enjoyed giving a complete tour of the farmhouse.

I love this vanity I redid before we moved.

And I enjoyed doing a round up of grain sack projects, which also includes photos from our old city home.

I appreciate you for putting up with me as I went from cedarhillranch.blogspot.com to cedarhill-ranch.com to finally www.cedarhillfarmhouse.com. I think this one is a keeper, and I really like the sound of farmhouse so much better than ranch.  I have gotten to know so many of you personally, and for that I am grateful. You are a wonderful, sweet, and caring bunch.  I have so many exciting things happening next year in 2014, so I’m hoping you are sticking around with me.

Blessings to you in 2014!!

I so much enjoyed the recap, Anita. I had seen your home from the tour, but had forgotten just how lovely it is. This time, I went a little crazy with pinning, so my Pinterest followers can also enjoy it! Many blessings for you and your beautiful family in the new year!

I just discovered you from a Pinterest search for counter stools. I really enjoyed your blog this morning as I hunkered down on another “snow day”! Really a treat to see your beautiful homes! So much that I was distracted from my search for stools! Back to that….I was hoping you would share which ones they were:)
