My favorite place to spend Christmas is at our little farm. Here things are simple, and unhurried. There’s no rush and nowhere to go.
We like to hang out on the back porch, where hot chocolate and snuggling in blankets are in order for the day. After dark, we make smores over the fire in the firepit and warm our hands. There’s usually a lot of laughter too.
We appreciate a slower pace, and the simplicity that life here brings. We have no TV, no wifi, no landline phone, no satellite or cable anything. We’re 20 miles from the grocery store, and over an hour from the nearest mall. The farm is very remote, and private. Although they aren’t very close, we do have neighbors and they are truly the BEST ever. We love all of them, really.
The other thing about the farm is that since stores are so far away it forces me to improvise, no quick trip to the store here for anything. So for Christmas decor, I like to keep it simple. The greenery are just cedar branches from Cedar Hill.
The deer antlers are ones we found at the farm.
The fresh cut hydrangeas of course were brought from the city.
Thanks for stopping by!! Merry Christmas!!

I love the way you blended the antlers and candelabra and the unusual tiered rusted finish basket with your charming greenery and hydrangeas on your farmhouse porch! Getting your Email posts are one of the highlights of my day.
