The house has been abuzz with carpenters in every room. The molding is going up in the living room as you can see below.
Here you can see the master bedroom. The crown molding is already in place on the tray ceiling and the window trim is there as well.
Our bathroom is beginning to take shape too. See the narrow compartments below? That’s where we’ll hide the hairdryer and electric toothbrushes.
I’m pretty excited about the master closet below. Those cabinets below may look small, but they are 8 ft across. This is going to be a built-in dresser with cabinets up top. Jesse, the carpenter, is putting doors on those upper shelves for me.
The girls’ bathroom is also coming together.
The laundry room will be upstairs, as will all of the bedrooms. I will miss my downstairs bedroom from the old city house, but the lot just isn’t big enough inside the loop for a downstairs master.
Jesse brought me some samples to look at, so I could decide whether I wanted flat panel or raised panel doors.
