Ashley’s got this gorgeous cowhide rug in the floor and these lovely French chairs in here. Did you notice the antler chandy above?
It’s a light-filled room that’s spacious with hand-scraped wood floors and high ceilings. I love this antique piece, so much character.
So can you imagine someone with such a gorgeous house would be shy about my showing it here? She was worried I would show it as “what not to wear.” Are you SERIOUS, Ashley?
Please comment if you want to see more of Ashley’s house. I’m hoping to convince her that her house is gorgeous, and everyone will want to see it. And really who wants their home on the home tour with all of that mud on everyone’s shoes? This way you get to be on the home tour, but no one leaves shoe prints or gum wrapper behind.

I love seeing houses! It’s especially nice to see houses that are not bloggers houses….I guess because I tend to think that bloggers are more focused on “picture ready” houses and this is just a regular gal who knows how to decorate! I have several friends with gorgeous homes and I have tried to get them to let me highlight their houses too! I think you’re a good friend and I bet she’s going to feel just great about all the nice comments!
