I love touring other peoples’ homes, don’t you? Well if you didn’t, why would you be here?
I recently went on a home tour in my new neighborhood, and I thought I would share the photos with you. There were 6 homes on the tour, but we weren’t allowed to take photos in many of the homes. Here are two of those home where I was allowed to photograph.
The first home was a converted washateria. The owners made it into a vintage/contemporary cool home.
This second home was a craftsman style home that had been renovated at one time.
Well even if you don’t like it, you have to admit that artwork sure is different!!
I don’t know about you, but I got some inspiration from the homes that I hope to incorporate into my home.

Are these private homes you visit? To my knowledge, this isn’t something we do over here (we are too reserved, lol). Do you have to pay to take the tours?
How beautiful with some nice modern touches! I just love that big round dining table.
Home tours are such fun! I always feel how generous it is of people who open their homes for tours. I have done it once and it is a lot of work getting ready. One really gets their home organized and clean.
Wow!!! I love, love love the converted washateria!!! Would love to have something like that one day. These pics are wonderful.
How interesting Anita, yes I love touring homes!!

I have a faint memory of seeing a washateria turned home in your new neighborhood on a t.v. show awhile back.
Love the kitchen in the craftsmen home. And their sense of humor with that artwork.
Thanks for taking us along, Amanda. I love to take home tours. There is always inspiration to be found.
I love the home tours, Anita. Here they do a combo garden/house tour and it is always so much fun. Also, at Christmas there is a Christmas open house with about 6 houses on the tour and that is always fun, too. xo Diana
what was a “washateria?” Nice to see a home where the bed actually looks enjoyed. Definitely didn’t take the same artwork appreciation class 🙂
I too love peeking in on other people’s homes. Seeing their decorating styles and their artwork choices.

Anita ~ I love tours of other people’s homes and even if their tastes are completely different than mine I still find it totally fascinating. Thanks for sharing! Seems your house is coming along wonderfully – moving soon? I’m feeling major anxiety about getting finished with ours – so close now! ~ Dori ~
Anita,
I study all kinds of interiors whether they are my style or not. Good design is just that, Good design!! I am in love with the above drum lighting with the Greek key design in brass.
Happy Thursday,
Kathysue
I love the island in the kitchen and the gray painted cabinetry. You always take great pictures, Anita! Maybe someday my photography will get better! lol
Even though madern isn’t me, I still enjoy seeing how others use it. Thanks for the tour!
