The Best Paint Projects of 2015

By Anita 5 Comments

It’s the end of the year, and I thought it would be nice to do a round up of my favorite paint projects of the year.

And I am taking some time off, so I didn’t have time to do any new projects this week, so there’s another reason.

Here are my 6 FAVORITE projects of the year.

THE SUREFIRE FIX FOR A DATED BED

I really liked this bed, but was tired of the black paint. I decided to try painting it. I really like how it turned out. Below is the BEFORE.

Next I painted a wall light sconce in this post, HOW TO SPOT A THRIFT STORE BARGAIN.

Below I have the very dated BEFORE photo.

For a completely different look, I talked about how I color washed a hanging basket in HOW TO PAINT A BASKET. The photo below is the BEFORE.

I used a used paint and liming wax to create an antiqued look on this candlestick in HOW TO USE LIMING WAX.

I found some very old pieces of carved wood that were a bit uninteresting, and added layers of paint for a fresh new look. You can see that project HERE.

Lastly I used wax, Toscana paint, and antiquing glaze and to create another antiqued look in MY NEW FAVORITE PAINTING TECHNIQUE. Below is yet another ‘lovely’ BEFORE photo.

I hope you had a fabulous Christmas. We are enjoying a very low-key time at home. I’ve got a sale going on in my shop today. So check out the special prices I have on several items. It won’t last long, so hurry over!

I love your wall colors! What paint did you use? I am getting those same Bali shades and am looking to repainted my living room. Thank you 🙂
