After visiting Amy Howard at her stunning home a few weeks ago, I’ve been thinking about how beautiful it was. I was particularly struck with the beauty of some antique candlesticks in her home, and that put me on a hunt to find some amazing ones for my home. And that is why this month I’m talking about candlesticks from Ruby Lane, who is sponsoring this post.
Let’s take a gander at the lovelies I found. (All descriptions are based on information from the listing.)
Pair of Marble and Brass Figural Candlestick Holders
Isn’t this couple adorable? They are likely a French colonial couple. They are from the 1850’s according to the description. I just love old, beautiful brass pieces like this. I love the detail on her dress.
Antique Italian Carved Pricket Candlestick
This Italian candlestick still has much of its original paint on it. It looks to be hand carved wood too. This is such a stunning piece and it also has the tin detail at the top.
French Faience Desvres Candlestick
I love anything Faience, and this candlestick is so pretty. It is from France, and made around the 1920’s. I love the hand painted detail. It’s got loads of color and personality.
Vintage Gold Gilt Two Light Candlestick
This girl holding the two candleholders is so charming. The detail is so interesting. I’m guessing it’s Victorian. It appears to be brass, but either way it’s lovely.
18th Century Baroque Wood Carved Candlestick – Polychrome Pricket from Continental Europe
This one is my very favorite. Just look at that detail! This candlestick is an 18th century Baroque candlestick based on the description. It has its original Polychrome Color and Gilt. These were originally used at an altar in a church, so the backs are not carved. They are made completely from hand carved wood. All I can say is wow! They think it is French, Austrian or German.
I hope you enjoyed our little shopping trip.

What pretty candlesticks! As I get older I am more and more picky…at least I try to be. I would rather have one set of these beautiful candlesticks than 5 sets of mediocre ones. I like the ones you like too!
