More Shabby Chic

By Anita 14 Comments

I have already posted about Rachel Ashwell’s Shabby Chic, Round Top B&B, here, here, and here.  But I still have many more photos of the guest houses.  Below are photos of the two guest houses near the big house.  Almost all of the furniture, as you can see, is very chippy.

She also has lots of French accents thrown in, like the chair above.

I think the wicker also adds to the Shabby Chic look.

I love this mantel, and what a great idea to hang it on the wall even if you don’t have an actual fireplace.

Most of the furniture is slipcovered very simply in white cotton.

The curtains are soft and feminine eyelet or lace.

I really love the look of putting sinks into old pieces of furniture.

She does have some modern conveniences like flat panel TV’s and coffee makers.

This is the exterior of one of the guest cottages.

Below is the green house.

And of course there is outdoor seating.

School starts back here tomorrow.  I know I will be ready for a cup of tea in the morning.   What should I do with my first day alone in the house since May?  What are you doing?

    Hi Anita,

Now just my opinion, I think she needs to learn about Annie Sloan Paint.

To me antiques are more wonderful with a nice finish and a slightly distressed look. Granted I know lots of people love the very chippy, it is not for me though.

Anita, enjoyed looking at the gorgeous pictures. Love the fabrics used on the pillows. The white chair with the high back is very unusual but I wish I had one. Thanks for showing all these wonderful things. Shannon
