White Home Accessories on Trend

By Anita 12 Comments

I love white accessories. I don’t mean neutral accessories, I mean things that are actually white. They look clean and fresh. Some people love white for summer and some people love it for winter. I just love it period.

Today’s podcast episode is also about white decor items. Listen below.

Remember my white bedding? It’s a splurge, but white and super awesome at the same time. CLICK HERE. I love the white pitcher paired with the white bedding. Not every thing in the room needs to be white. Here I have the white bedspread, pillow sham, white pitcher and white plates. Everything else is not white.

Below I have more white linen These are vintage linen sheets with a gorgeous monogram. The monogram is DC or possibly CD.

White chairs, table cloth and bedding give this room a fresh and airy feel. I think white in the bedroom is especially nice. It feels clean and breezy.

Check out the vintage milk glass lamp. The white just makes the room.

Below the antique tin tiles on the wall are a creamy white in places. Then you have the white lamp shades, the white couple statue and the white cabinet.

The corbels are also white. White is hot, hot, hot right now. The beauty of it is, that white goes with almost everything. You don’t have to worry about white not working if you change our color scheme from red to blue. White works. And it’s a classic color (or non-color) so it never looks dated. Below I used crisp cotton vintage shams for the bed and a pom pom lined white quilt. You can find the quilt HERE.

You may have noticed that I’m in love with the furry decor, CLICK HERE. It too is also white. White works all year long.

Vintage white enamelware below looks just as in style now as it did 100 years ago.

White even works on the porch. It does show dirt, so I do wipe my things down fairly often.

White ironstone is also always in style.

I believe you wrote this article for me. I have always painted my walls white, ( I like to start with a clean palette), now layer my decor as I feel inspired. My wardrobe is enhanced with polka-dots of white paint. Cuticles slightly sheared white. I paint table legs and leave tops, sometimes…. Love the article and pictures. My style. Thanks… Mac.. aka, Bettie MacIntyre-Paul

What a coincidence! I’m washing a load of whites right now! Somehow that doesn’t sound like as much fun as decorating with it. At least much of it will be back on my bed by noon. Hopefully, I will too!
Many thanks to those that paid the ultimate price for the freedoms we enjoy today. You will never be forgotten. ??

I’m loving all things white these days too. Recently switched to all white bedding basics, and I am starting off with a few black and white pillows, with some pale aqua accent pillows.
I especially love white paired with wood tones, galvanized, pewter, or rusty iron metals. Switching to white has been a refreshing change from using warmer ivory and beige tones. We are painting our interiors a room at a time, but the consistent theme is light, refreshing, and the use of crisp white trim on woodwork and doors. (White Cotton by Sherwin Williams, an HGTV color)
You are right…white does go with everything!

Hi! Could you please tell me where the tufted cushions on the chairs with the table came from? They are bluish with button tufting and piping. It’s so hard to find interesting and fun yet elegant cushions for chairs that need them! Thank you

I love white also…I have a lot of white in my home. At one time, all of our walls were white. I finally couldn’t stand the walls anymore, so they’ve all been painted, mostly greige, but some bolder. My kitchen has white cabinets, but I had the walls painted yellow, and my accent colors are cobalt blue and red. My dining room is french blue, but I have light colored french provincial furniture and white dishes. White is the perfect color that goes with everything! Thanks to your inspiration, Anita, I had a dish display rack custom built that looks very similar to yours in your dining room at the farm. They are, you guessed it, white!!! Great post!

    ❤Have a Blessed Memorial Day!

I am also a lover of white – mom always said, “you can tell when it is dirty.” And she was right. I love it on my walls. Have used a Sherwin Williams color – Collectors White for years. Also, I have found I never tire of anything white.

I, too, think it is hot – but I think it has been or years.

    As always, great post!
