By Anita 11 Comments

Are you ready for Christmas?

Please, please tell me you aren’t. I don’t want to think I am the only one who is woefully behind.  I used to be one of those people that everyone hated. You know… the person who was done with Christmas shopping by Thanksgiving, yeah THAT person. Well, it’s official; I’m no longer THAT person.  I’m the one who will make you feel good about your life.  And if I can do that for you, then I’ve just made the world a better place, right?

Here are some of my favorite ideas from this Christmas and from previous years.

You are not alone! I’m trying not to be mad at myself. But I shouldn’t be surprised, I do this every year.

oh, i was all cocky thinking i was completely finished with my shopping. then yesterday i sat down to tally the amounts spent on each. at that point i realized i had woefully overspent on some + underspent on others. at 6 a,m. this morning i’m online purchasing gift cards (i hate to give gift cards) while i desperately try to play catch-up!

I’m way behind, but for some reason I’m not too stressed about it. I’m not sure why I’m not and I am feeling very cheerful. Merry Christmas to you all.

No, I am far from ready. No gifts wrapped, heck they aren’t even all here yet, must buy groceries. Not sure I have time to do any baking. Must make two pots of chili and clean the house before Tuesday. Oh, I need more days.

Merry Christmas Anita! I too am not done shopping as one store neglected to tell me until I inquired this week of their tracking a shipment that what I ordered the beginning of the month, is no longer in stock……heavy sigh……and…scramble today for replacement…..have you seen the adorable duvet covers , red check, look a like ticking and a red grain sack duvet covers at Ikea! Would be so cute to switch out bedding at Christmas. If I had that much time & energy ……lol.

You are not alone. I’m way behind and the world keeps twirling so I think we’ll be OK. Merry Christmas!

    Anita,
    THIS year, I am behind!!!
Unexpected surgery has a way of doing that to a person. . .
That’s MY story and I’m stickin’ to it!!!
Next year, I’m going to come out on top…I just know it!!!
At least, I feel I’m in “excellent” company!!!
    Fondly,
    Pat

I have this ford station wagon model and it is towing an airstream trailer. I always tie a Christmas tree to the top so I enjoyed seeing your picture of the truck with the tree ready for the trip home.
