Spring is such a glorious time of year with the promise of new life, trees in bloom, birds chirping… you get the picture. We’re talking today about how to bring the beauty of spring into your home.
We have a podcast episode all about adding spring touches to your home. Listen below.
Of course one of the things you can do is to bring some plants indoors. Below I have some flowers from the grocery store. You can also cut something from your yard and bring it in.
Now is a great time to tuck in some nests here and there. You can even add a few faux eggs. Yvonne has a great post on using nests in your home. Nests in Spring decor CLICK HERE.
Forcing branches is another way to add spring to your home. Yvonne has a great post on how to do it.

I love the orchid I just bought. Hope I can keep it alive!
Of course this is the time to add lambs and bunnies too.
You can also add spring touches with pillows.

I noticed yesterday our forsythia are in bloom…it was a gorgeous day here yesterday. Today, we woke up to a light dusting of snow! I wish Mother Nature would make up her mind! I also have a weeping cherry that I think I’m going to bring some branches in from and force them…I love decorating for Spring…it just makes my life so much happier! Not much of a winter girl anymore.

Good luck with the orchid, Anita. Everyone says they’re so low maintenance. I managed to keep one alive for over a year. Otherwise, in orchid circles, I’m known a a serial killer. I do like that yours is your color of the year!

Hi. Orchids. Treat ’em mean. I water mine rarely, pretty much when I no longer remember when I last watered them. Treat them as an afterthought and they’ll be fine. And when you think they’re dead, just water them occasionally and they’ll probably spring back to life some time. The way you kill them is with kindness.
