I really hope you have a very blessed Christmas this week. This is the time of year that I focus on all of my many, many blessings. The fact that you come here and spend time with me is one of those blessings. I sure hope you will be around next year.
One of the things I will be working on next year is our brand new guest quarters. They just refinished the reclaimed oak floors, and the movers will have come with the last of my furniture by the time you read this post. I can’t wait to share that room with you. It has a darling little kitchenette, sweet little bath, and oh I can’t wait! It’s going to be my craft/sewing room.
And I am working with some of the most AWESOME sponsor/partners this year. I really am VERY excited to share them with you. They are the source for lots of amazing good things. More about that later.
I also have the most incredible piece of artwork coming from a VERY talented painter. It’s gorgeous!! I think you are going to like it, and I’ll have information about where you get your own.
One more thing coming is more of a focus on ‘how to’ and not just ‘here’s what I’m doing.’ I want to show you the ‘how’ behind what I do… where I get things, how to transform them, and how to style them.
I sure hope you have a
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Hi this is Anita from Cedar Hill Farmhouse
and I am hosting the scoop this week.
At Cedar Hill Farmhouse last week I shared how I make beautiful ribbon bows. I’ve put together a simple 4 minute video to show you how super easy these are.

And now onto our guest host for this week, Mary Beth from Cupcakes and Crinoline!!
Hello lovely people! I’m Mary Beth from Cupcakes and Crinoline and I am so honored and happy to be Guest Hosting today here at The Scoop!
I’m a wife and mom to three boys who loves to create. My blog is where I share my love of all things home ~ cooking, baking, crafting, small DIY projects and some kid stuff thrown in. In the last two weeks I’ve done a whirlwind of Christmas related posts and I would be so happy if you have the chance to stop by and say Hi!
My task as a guest host is to pick a few of my favorite projects ~ I found it almost impossible. Every single link was wonderful and amazing in its own way but after going back and forth (and back and forth again and again) I weaned down my picks to the five below.
My First Pick is this bounty of natural decor from Mary at Home is Where the Boat Is. If you’re looking for some last minute inspiration to decorate the outdoors be sure to take a look at Mary’s Potting Shed Christmas Nesting & Feathering post. We’re getting a break in the weather this weekend and I’m going to be borrowing some ideas for finishing up my outdoor decorating.
Chateau Chic shares her lovely kitchen filled with holiday cheer including vintage ornaments {which I adore} and the perfect touches for any Chic Vintage Home. The mini ornament garland and the vintage hanging scale made me swoon!
Penny from Penny’s Vintage Home shares an entire festival of trees ~ if you love shabby chic and lots of pink like I do you will love her tree tour ~ fabulous!
I don’t have a fireplace or a mantel but someday when I do {I dream big!} I would love to decorate it as tastefully as Debra from Common Ground has decorated hers for the Holidays.
My final pick is the Christmas Decor in the Great Room shared by Shirley from Hospitality Designs. The entire room is amazingly decorated but this cotton wreath and stained glass window really caught my eye. There’s also a HUGE tree that is decorated beautifully with a basket of gifts beneath it ~ if I can find a basket the same size I think I have another idea to finish off my decorating.
I am so thankful to the Ladies of The Scoop for allowing me to guest host this week ~ I had so much fun going through all of the lovely links shared and choosing my favorites~ I felt like a kid in a candy store.
