The Scoop #109

By Anita 24 Comments

I am having so much fun working on our little guest quarters.  It is about 450 sq ft., so it’s a studio space with a small kitchenette and a tiny bathroom.
If you missed the tour of my little guest quarters kitchen you can find it here.

I’ll be showing more as the days go by, but for now, I am not finished with the space, but you knew that, right?  I’m thinking slipcovers for the leather club chair. Mr. CH is horrified that I would slipcover the chair, but that is the way it goes. I didn’t bother telling him a reader suggested I paint the leather. He’s not ready for that.  Are you interested in seeing a more detailed ‘how-to’ on slipcovering? If I get enough of a response, I will do one. Obviously it is a lot more work to stop and photograph every step, so it’s not worth the time to me, UNLESS it is something you want. If so, please let me know!! Now here’s the scoop.
Welcome back to The Scoop
The weekly linky party featuring the scoop on the best posts from around the web!

Hi everyone! It’s been a big week for The Scoop! We hosted our first ever Mega Spring Linky Party and it was a huge success…filled with tons of fabulous spring inspiration! We want to thank the 35+ wonderful blogs who joined us in bringing a much-needed breath of spring! And we would also like to thank those of you who shared your ideas! We couldn’t have a party without our guests!

And just in case you missed it, I have done a round-up of more than 25 beautiful spring wreaths that were shared at the party to inspire you!

I have also been busy getting my home ready for spring and thinking ahead to my Easter tablescape. I am spilling the beans and sharing all of my sources for getting the Pottery Barn look for less….much less! 🙂

And to add a touch of whimsey to your spring table, I am sharing how I created these fun Pier 1 inspired burlap bunny ear napkin rings…at absolutely no cost!

And now… on to the features from last week’s Scoop!

This beautiful spring mantel was shared by Creative Ideas. I love those pink tulips!

Gotta love this fun Peeps centerpiece from Home Is Where the Boat Is!

Oh, my! I am definitely trying these Mint Chip Mousse Brownies from  The First Year Blog!

What a nice breath of spring! I love this pretty tablescape from  Rosemary & Thyme!

Lost & Found shared this colorful frenchy chair re-do…perfect!

Shabby Love created these fabulous shabby lavender sachets from grain sacks…two things I love in one little package!

And now…let’s get this party started!

Thank you for linking up, friends!

I so enjoy the Pottery Barn for less projects. They are expensive, but are such an inspiration to so many DIY’ers. They have got a good thing going on.

I would love to see a tutorial about slipcovering! I bought some fabric last fall to slipcover a loveseat but don’t know where to start. Any help would be much appreciated!
