If you missed it, the winner has been posted for the Decor Steals Giveaway. It was Julie H!! Woot, woot!! I had the most fun at a bridal shower last weekend. The theme was Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Everyone was supposed to wear a black dress and pearls. I actually had my mother-in-law’s white gloves. But more about that later. I’m late for a very important date. The scoop. Check out the home tour going on now. Details in the previous post
Where is it 4 degrees one day and rainy and 70 degrees 4 days later?
In Eastern North Carolina.
The land of “if you don’t like the weather, wait until tomorrow.”
Hi Everyone!
This is Barb with The Everyday Home and I am
happy to be your Co-Host this week.
I sure hope everyone is experimenting a Winter thaw now.
Unfortunately, I’m afraid that the worst may still be ahead of us.
So, I thought you would love to get some ideas for
cozying up your home for Winter.
25 Fabulous Bloggers will be sharing their
“Cozy and Warm” ideas all this week.
I can’t wait to share my “Cozy Home” project with you this Friday.
I’ve just completed some major “No-Cost” furniture changes in my
home in an effort to create a warmer and welcoming setting.
Until then… I would like to introduce you to one of my very dear
friends – Amy at Atta Girl Says. If you don’t follow Amy’s
blog, you have NO idea what you are missing.
She’s a DIY/Craft/Recipe Diva…and I just adore her.
So…take it away Amy!
Hi, I’m Amy from the blog Atta Girl Says, where I share ideas to make
your home brighter and your heart lighter. I’m very excited to be
hosting The Scoop this week!
This is Scoop #101, and in college a 101 level class is usually an
introductory one. So, what better excuse to introduce myself and
my blog to you.
Crafty, sassy and irreverent, and just a little bit frazzled, I’m a
“recovering” journalist, a “tarnished” Southern belle living in
North Carolina and mother to the sweetest little boy ever.
Creativity keeps me up at night ‚ and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I started my blog nearly two years ago to nurture my creativity and
to encourage other women to do the same. I’m a cook, crafter,
furniture painter, decorator and consummate dabbler in all things domestic.
I loved looking through all the links from last week’s Scoop.
The tough part was picking projects to feature. There’s so much
wonderful inspiration in this party every week.
Like these hanging globe terrariums from Town-N-Country Living,
Succulents are easy to grow, and I think we could all use a little
green as we deal with these polar vortex temperatures!
As a furniture painter, I fell in love this this Swedish Gustavian paint treatment
I Meeshu U created using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. It is simply
gorgeous, and what a transformation.
I didn’t make any specific New Year’s resolutions this year,
but getting and staying organized is always a goal of mine. I love,
love, love how Bohemian Junktion has organized her craft supplies.
What a find that rotating bin was.
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and these
Valentine’s gift boxes from Cowboy’s Daughter Designs are a
sweet way to say I love you.
My 1929 Charmer has created quite the winter wonderland with
this lovely vignette on her buffet.
Thanks so much for this chance to guest host at The Scoop.
I was honored to choose features from a party that delivers
such amazing inspiration week in and week out.
Thanks Amy!

Hi lovely lady.
Thanks so much for hosting your linky party for us all. I am hoping you have a wonderful week with your family.

My daughter wanted a Breakfast at Tiffany’s Bridal Shower when we had her shower last August. Guests were asked to wear “any” of the Audrey Hepburn outfits that they saw in the movie. I had a lot of fun decorating for this theme! We had two different types of “Blue Punch”. It was hugely successful! I hope you enjoyed the shower you went to as much as we all enjoyed ours.
Love the party and the features! Thanks for letting me share what I love to do.
Make it a great week!
