We have inherited many things from my MIL, and here are some more.
This tray is from my MIL. It is very heavy since it is made from solid wood, and is inlaid with ceramic tiles. The tray came to me in a very dark stain. It really looked very 70’s, but I think it looks much more shabby chic with the ASCP (Annie Sloan Chalk Paint) in Old White.
The Yellow Fiesta was my MIL’s and the pink is mine.
I almost got rid of this tray since I didn’t like it when it was so dark, but I am really enjoying it now.
It seems fresh and clean now. Here’s a close up of the tray.
I love taking old things and updating them or using them in new ways.

You always have such pretty pictures! The tray looks great. It definitely pays to keep things and update them a little 🙂
So pretty Anita! Its amazing what paint does. Those pink dishes are adorable.
Although I can only see a peak of your dining chairs they look really cute! I love that style.
Looks great Anita and the tiles are so pretty! Martina
Looks great with your fiesta ware. I have the same color pink..wish they still made it.
Hey, Anita. What a pretty tray. I can just imagine how it looked with the dark stain. Love the new look.
Love the tray! Isn’t it nice to be able to add a coat of paint and be happy.
The tray is cute but the lil pink tea set stole my heart!

The tray is very pretty. I am so glad you decided to keep it and clean it up (so to speak). Pretty fiesta ware!!
Your tray turned out beautiful!
I love it in the white. Looks so pretty with the dishes and flowers too. Where do you obtain your chalk paint? I ordered 1 time and it was a horrid experience so have been very cautious about trying again. I know there must be some professional providers out there.
