Oh my I’ve got an awesome guest today. She’s got lots of goodies, and if you don’t know about her FREE graphics you better stick around. Even if you do know about them, you’re going to learn some fun things about Karen, The Graphics Fairy. Here she is…
1. Why did you start a blog?
Originally I started a blog for my business, Fleurish, which I closed down about a year ago. It was a way for me to show my customers what was new in the shop each month. Later I came up with the idea for starting The Graphics Fairy.
I was really excited about what was going on in the Collage world at the time, I was so inspired by the amazing Collage and Mixed Media Art blogs that I was reading and I thought it would be a great way to be a part of that community and share some of the things that I had collected, during the 20 years that I was an antique dealer. Also, after my hard drive died twice, it was an easier way for me to keep track of the things that I had scanned to use for my own projects, since they would be on the blog permanently, I wouldn’t have to worry about loosing the digital copies of them again!
2. What was the most exciting thing that has happened to you because of your blog?
3. What is your dream gig or do you already have it?
I think I have it! In the blogging world you really never know where you’re going to be headed next, but I’m pretty content right now. My readers are the sweetest people in the world and I love what I do.
4. What are a few things that readers would be surprised to find out about you?
That’s why I have such a soft spot for women that do that for a living. I know it’s fun and all, but it’s such hard work too… loading and unloading furniture, painting it, repairing it, displaying it and of course all the time spent finding the right pieces at the right price. That’s why I feature so many furniture transfer projects on my blog. I love to support those ladies any way that I can since.. I’ve been there!
5. How would you describe your style?
Vintage! No surprise there! I love all things old, especially European things, industrial stuff and anything that fits into my creamy, brown, gray, with a touch of black, palette.
6. What are your top 3 favorite posts?

A Summer Tour of our Homehttp://thegraphicsfairy.com/a-summer-tour-of-our-home-2/
Decorating our home is a huge passion of mine, it was fun to participate in this tour that my friend Gina put together, and share some photos of our home.
This is probably one of my favorite images of all time. I painstakingly hand colored it, it took me hours to do it, but I enjoyed every moment of it and my readers loved the results, so that made it totally worth it!
Thanks so much for taking the time to interview me Anita!!
