It’s Good Friday during these dark days of the COVID-19. I pray that you are safe and healthy at home. I know so many do have to go to work every day, and that can be very stressful. We’re doing curbside pickup and delivery to our home right now, and that’s it. I haven’t been in a building besides my own home for 3 weeks. We do our workouts online with our instructor, and zoom meetings with our church parish.
Everytime we have a food delivery, I get so excited! It’s like a gift, that we can eat. It’s the stuff I used to take for granted, that now feels very special.
As I sit at home with the door locked, praying that we’ll be spared from the virus, I think of the Israelites at home placing the blood of the lamb on the doorposts so that the death angel will pass over their homes. It echoes what is happening today, as we pray that our town and our country will be spared.
The good news is that Resurrection Sunday is around the corner.
Enjoy the French Country Friday posts for today.
