Why did you start your blog?
My passion for decorating and gardening is what originally drew me to looking through other people’s blogs and it didn’t take long to get hooked. I wanted to connect with others who had the same interests and style and I’ve enjoyed sharing my home, projects and vintage finds over the years.
What was the most important thing that happened to you because of your blog?
The connections and friendships that have formed are really why I keep blogging each week. I’ve met so many nice and talented women who are always encouraging and uplifting, many whom I would never have had the opportunity of knowing if it wasn’t for my blog.
What is your dream gig or do you already have it?
I have dreamt of owning my own store for many years now and still hope it might happen some day, but for now I am happy selling my garden items and vintage wares at a few Shows each year which allows me time to be there for my family when I’m needed.
What are a few things readers would be surprised to find out about you?
Cleaning is not on top of my list of fun things to do. I like my home to be picked up and clutter free, but dread the constant chore of keeping it that way. Another thing some might find surprising is we lived in an older mobile home on our property before we were able to build our home…..good things come to those who wait!
How would you describe your style?
My style is simple farmhouse with some rustic elegance thrown in.
What are your top 3 favorite posts?
What advice would you give new bloggers?
The best advice I could give anyone just starting a blog is to stay true to yourself and your own style on your blog and don’t get frustrated at first. It takes time to build up your followers and those who are inspired by you will eventually find their way……♥
