Yes, I have been painting everything in sight lately. And my older daughter’s room is no exception. It is finally painted.
Remember the green walls from a previous post, click here? Just in case you don’t, here is what this room looked like painted green.
It’s funny how I just got used to the green paint, and didn’t realize how dated it looked, until I saw the it in this photo. And now for a bit of bittersweet news. Remember Pooh Bear that my mom and I painted before my daughter was born?
The irony is that I used a Sherwin Williams paint called Bittersweet Stem in this room. I am sad to see Winnie go, since that is a piece of my daughter’s childhood, but we were ready to move forward with a fresh look, and sometimes, it’s just time to let go of the past.
Speaking of the past, the oil painting is a family piece.
Here it is in the photo below. I like the vintage feel of the painting.
Who is that handsome young man you say? Why, that’s Mr. CH, who even at this early age, clearly already understood the importance of a power suit.
I already talked about the rocker and table that are old family pieces in a previous post, click here.
