We do love living on our back porch. It’s getting too hot during the day to dine alfresco, but breakfast is still a great time to enjoy the breezes and the chirping birds. So I was pretty excited when Mr. CH FINALLY helped me hang a shelf back here.
When I took the burgundy shelf down, I wondered what I would do with it, and then I thought that it would be great to have on the back porch. It seemed the perfect size for breakfast items. I notice a long time ago, that my guests always prefer self-serve meals, so I always try to set out whatever my guests might want so they can get it themselves without having to ask for it. I thought this shelf would be perfect to use for a self-service breakfast bar.
Here it is loaded it up with some blue and white English cups and saucers
I added some tea selections, along with my pink silverware and some napkins. Oh yes, please don’t adjust the color on your computer, those spoons and forks really are pink! I do love to use my nice silver, but I thought a casual ranch breakfast would be fun today with my pink flatware.
After my visit with Leslie at her house (click here) I decided to use her idea, and serve home-made natural flavored water. I added some watermelon slices to fresh well water for a refreshing drink.
Remember my bluebells (click here)? I cut so many, that I used them every where.
What a lovely day; I think it is time for a nap.
